Singapore, 26 May 2026 – KiN Hotel Group officially enters the Malaysian market with the takeover and repositioning of Hotel Maya Kuala Lumpur, marking a major milestone in the group’s long-term Southeast Asian growth strategy and its first strategic expansion outside Vietnam.
With Kuala Lumpur identified as a key regional market, KiN Hotel Group sees Malaysia as an important platform for future growth amid the rising demand for experience-led hospitality across Asia. KiN’s entry into Malaysia begins with the transformation of Hotel Maya Kuala Lumpur, a well-established hospitality landmark located in the heart of the KLCC district. Positioned within one of the city’s most prominent commercial and lifestyle corridors, the property will be progressively repositioned into a lifestyle-driven luxury hospitality destination guided by KiN’s “essential luxury” philosophy.

The property will remain operational throughout the transition period, with refurbishment works implemented progressively in phases. Design team appointments are expected by June 2026, followed by room refurbishment works beginning in August 2026, with overall completion targeted by the end of 2026.
